The History of Curbside Meals

When the pandemic hit and our vegetables were ripe on the vine, we had to get creative. To keep people safe, fed, and happy, we launched a curbside meal service. It all started with chicken gumbo — a family recipe brought to Austin by my dad (Matthew’s father-in-law), who owned a BBQ restaurant in La Porte, Texas, for over 25 years. When I was a kid, his “all-you-can-eat Gumbo Fridays” drew blue-collar workers from all over, with lines wrapping around the building. Yes, it’s that good.

The Mission

We cook with farm-fresh ingredients like okra, onions, and tomatoes, and we keep our meals affordable to make your week just a little easier. Everything is wholesome and made with love, and we take extra care to stay allergen-friendly, inspired by my own experience with celiac disease and a sensitive stomach.

Every $15 you spend helps produce two farm-to-food bank meals for local families in need.

We’re excited to relaunch our curbside meal service in 2026. Stay tuned!
